In 2018 I was awarded the Arts Council Travel and Training Award to participate in a residency at the Caribbean Marine Biological Institute, Carmabi, Curaçao. Collaborating with Dr Laurent Delvoye, a marine biologist, using a full spectrum camera to capture the marine oriented environment researching historical, cultural and terrestrial aspects of Curaçao. ‘Porta’ was created in response to that collaboration.
