Instituto Buena Bista Curaçao, 2018

Trade workshop, funded by Arts Council Ireland travel and training, 2018. As part of my residency at the Carmabi Research Centre Curaçao, I collaborated with IBB, Instituto Buena Bista, under the guidance of co- founder David Bade. During a one day workshop using objects as catalysts for conversations we explored themes of identity and trade.

With the support of students from IBB I was able to further research and record the native language which is Papiamento. Papiamento is a Creole language containing elements of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English and French as well as Arawakan and African languages.
